    The current situation and countermeasure research of Chinese marine biomedical industry

    In recent years, as the strategic emerging industry in China, the marine biomedical industry has developed rapidly due to its great potential. The sustainable and healthy development of marine biomedical in-dustry is important to the improvement of drug quality and establishment of “Healthy China” and “Marine E-conomy”. This paper introduced the development status of marine biomedical industry in China, and stated the existing problems:lack of basic research, insufficiency of capital input,shortness of innovation ability,underdeveloped awareness of intellectual property,low rate of achievements transfer,and other issues. Then,suggestions and measures were put forward,such as strengthening top design and layout,advancing basic research and financial security,building information shareable platform,sticking market - oriented,and promoting industrial development. The development paths of marine biomedical industry was discussed in order to speed up the optimization and upgrading of marine biomedical industry,and provide useful reference for achieving sustainable industry development.

    Ecological efficiency is an important index to measure the quality of marine fishery development.In this paper, the Three - stage DEA method was used to study the ecological efficiency of marine fishery in Qingdao,Yantai and Weihai from 2014 to 2018. The results showed that the ecological efficiency of marine fishery in coastal areas was generally improved year by year, but the ecological efficiency level of each city was different. At the same time,the number of marine pastures ( at or above the provincial level) and the number of inbound tourists as external variables had a significant impact on the ecological efficiency of marine fishery. Each coastal city should consider the external variables in combination with its own development characteristics to improve its life state efficiency.
    Evaluation of three reanalysis surface wind products in Taiwan Strait

    In this study,three archived reanalysis wind vectors at 10 m height ( CFSv2, ERA -I,NCEP-DOE) were evaluated by a comparison with the winds measured by moored buoys in Taiwan Strait. The evaluation results revealed that the CFSv2 wind speed was most consistent with the buoy wind speed (with an average bias of -0. 14 m/ s and RMSE of 1. 73 m/s) . However, the ERA -1 and NCEP - DOE winds significantly underestimated the buoy wind speed ( with average biases of -1. 80 m/s and - 2. 06 m/s; the average RMSEs of 2. 01 m/s and 2. 72 m/s). The wind directions of CFSv2 and ERA - I were close to the wind direction,whose average biases ( RMSEs) were - 5.76°and - 5. 34°(23. 24°and 22. 10°),respectively. But the error of NCEP - DOE wind direction was large with an average bias of 8. 80°and RMSE of 42. 77°. It was demonstrated that the systematic deviation of ERA -1 and NCEP - DOE was significant all over the year,especially during the period with large wind speed ( boreal winter). Moreover,large wind speed and direction errors of reanalysis data were examined to be related with lower wind speed, which indicated that in low wind speed range these three reanalysis winds were less reliable. In general,the evaluation of three reanalysis wind products indicated that CFSv2 wind vectors were the closest to the winds at middle - to - high wind speed in Taiwan Strait and were sufficiently accurate to be used in numerical models.
    Change trend of environmental quality in Luoyuan Bay in recent ten years

    Based on the monitoring data of water quality and sediment quality in Luoyuan Bay from 2009 to 2018,the environmental quality in Luoyuan Bay was evaluated according to the nutrition index method and the comprehensive index method of environmental quality classification. The results showed that from 2009 to 2014,the environmental quality of Luoyuan Bay continued to deteriorate. Since 2015,it started to improve. The main problem was that the seawater was seriously polluted,while the DIN and PO4 - P were the principal pollutants affecting the seawater quality over the years. This trend was related to large - scale coastal reclamation in early stage,agglomerated development of port industrial construction and mariculture,and the completion of the retreat of mariculture in late stage. Through analyzing the change trend of environmental quality in Luoyuan Bay in recent ten years,it provided the basis for environmental protection and rational development of Luoyuan Bay.
    Analysis and evaluation of nutrient composition of Crassostrea angulata in different stations of Zhao’an Bay

    To explore the nutritional value and difference of oyster in different stations of Zhao’an Bay of Fujian Province, the contents of basic nutritional component,amino acids,minerals,and fatty acids of Crassostre angulata in 5 different stations of Zhao’an Bay were analyzed. The results showed that the contents of protein in 5 stations of of Zhao’an Bay were all high, especially in Tiancuo station which was the highest in the content of protein. 18 kinds of amino acids were detected in these samples,among which there were 8 kinds of essential amino acids and 10 kinds of nonessential amino acids. The total content of amino acids in the oyster of Fengqi station was the highest,while the content of flavor amino acid and the FAO/WHO amino acid score were significantly higher than the other 4 stations. The mineral elements contents were rich in Zhao’an Bay and varied among 5 stations. The contents of Fe、Zn、Mn、Mg、K、Na and P in Fengqi station,the contents of Cu and Se in Chishiwan station, and the contents of Ca in Nanmen station were the highest. 14 kinds of fatty acids were detected in 5 stations,including 9 kinds of unsaturated fatty acid with rich content,especially the w-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid. The content of fatty acid and taurine of oyster in Liaoya station were higher than the other 4 stations.
    Distribution of coral communities in eastern sea area of Shenzhen

    From August 2013 to December 2014,the distribution,species,coverage and health status of coral communities in the eastern sea area of Shenzhen were investigated. A total of 73 species of coleopteran were characterized in the coelenterate,including 2 species of soft corals, 9 species of gorgonians,2 species of sea anemones,and 60 species of scleractinian corals. The survey results showed that the corals in eastern sea area of Shenzhen had a banded distribution. The growing zone was narrow,parallel to the coast. The vertical zoning was not obvious. The spatial distribution was relatively simple. The scleractinian corals were mostly distributed in the coastal water depth of about 6 m in shallow areas, and the soft corals were widely distributed. The deepest water depth was 16 m,and the gorgonian coral was distributed in the sandy bottom waters with a water depth of 9 m or more. Statistical analysis showed that the coral coverage rate of the Da’ao lovers Island was the highest,at 41. 60%,and the coverage of Beizai jiao station was the lowest,only 2.50%. Among them,compared with the historical survey results,the scleractinian corals had increased in species and coverage,and the dominant species were clump - shaped,sub - branched,and surface - shaped Faviidae,Agariciidae,and Poritidae. Human activities which included coastal and offshore engineering,picking unlawfully the corals and overfishing might be the main factors of influencing the living environment of coral reefs.
    Isolation,identification and drug resistance analysis of bacterial pathogen associated with acute hepatopancreas necrosis disease from Litopenaeus vannamei

    In the present study,a bacterial strain was isolated from the hepatopancreas tissue of Litopenaeus vannamei in Fujian Province with suspected acute hepatopancreas necrosis disease. The 16S rRNA gene sequence,physiological and biochemical characteristics,mass - spectrometer characteristic analysis results showed that it was Vibrio parahemolyticus. Virulence gene detection showed that the strain could be positively amplified with the virulence genes including Pirvp? and PirvpB. However it showed negative amplification results for the thermostable direct hemolyticus gene (Tdh) and tdh - related hemolysin gene (Trh) . All of the health shrimps died at 72 hours after infected with the isolated strain,and infected shrimps presented with symptoms similar to the natural incidence. Drug resistance analysis showed that the isolate was sensitive to thiamphenicol, florfenicol and other 4 drugs. However it was resistant to ampicillin sodium,oxycycline,ciprofloxacin,doxycycline,and was intermediate to neomycin sulfate and enrofloxacin. The results provided basic data for epidemiological research and disease prevention of AHPND.
    Effects of temperature,salinity and light intensity on conchospore releasing of Pyropia haitanensis

    Pyropia haitanensis, as an economically important cultivated seaweed in China . Conchospore releasing is a critical event of artificial cultivation of Pyropia, consequently the amount of conchospore released is very important to the success of the seedling collection. Based on an orthogonal design with 3 factors and 5 levels, the effects of temperature, salinity and light intensity on the conchospore releasing of P. haitanensis were studied. The results showed that temperature had a significant effect on the amount of conchospore released (F = 8.584, P = 0.002 < 0.05); salinity and light intensity had no significant effects on the amount of conchospores (F = 1.073, P = 0.412 > 0.05; F = 0.585, P = 0.680 > 0.05). Analysis of variance showed that temperature had a extremely significant effect on the amount of conchospore released from P. haitanensis (F = 9.215, P ≤ 0.01). Temperature was the first-order main effect, and the second-order interaction effect with salinity and light intensity was not significant (P?0.05). The optimal environmental conditions for the release of conchospore were as follows: temperature of 26 ℃, salinity of 1.018 ~ 1.023, and light intensity of 5000 ~ 8000Lux.
    Study on the application of colloidal gold rapid test strip for detection of saxitoxin

    Paralytic shellfish poisoning is one of the most widely distributed and harmful biological toxins of red tide in the world, and the main toxin is saxitoxin. In this study, a kind of colloidal gold rapid test strip for detection of saxitoxin was tested in practice. According to the test, the test strip could be universally applied in sheDfish! and the detection limit of saxitoxin was 500 ugkg. Meanwhile, the test results of saxitoxin in 30 samples of different shellfish were completely consistent with that of liquid chromatography - tandem mass spectrometry. It took about 20 minutes to test a single sample. The results showed that the test strip had high sensitivity and specificity, convenient operation, stability and reliability, which could meet the needs of on - site detection. It was available for the grass - roots fishery regulatory department to carry out the rapid detection and screening of paralytic shellfish poisoning, which was of great significance for strengthening the ability to prevent and control the quality and safety risks of shellfish during the red tide.
    The study of resource environment capacity with desert - island recreational fisheries as tourism —A case study of Wu’an Island in Zhangzhou

    Efforts are underway in each state to promote the fishery,including Recreational Fishing as Tourism (RFT) for islands,in the name of green economic. A scientific plan is a necessary step toward meeting the specific requirements and improvement of RFT for islands,and it would be one of the most important factors that related to the success of RFT for islands. In this study,a comprehensive evaluation method was developed based on modified coefficient in order to analyze the Carrying Capacity of Tourism ( CCT) in an uninhabited island,namely Wu’an Island in Zhangzhou City. And two strategies of RFT for this islands were evaluated respectively,and the optimized CCT were estimated for them. In addition,the optimized plans were proposed in this study based on the estimated CCT,providing the scientific basis for the RFT for islands.
    Analysis of main morphological characteristic of Distoechodon compressus in Liancheng

    In order to understand in detail the morphological characteristics and the differences between the population and the records,according to the GB/T 18654.3—2008,the morphological characteristics of Distoechodon compressus of the three waters in Liancheng County,Fujian Province,China were detected,the results were compared with the records of “ Biology and Breeding of Distoechodon compressus”,“ Fishes of Fujian” and“ Fish of Chinese Cyprinidae”. The results showed that:1) The main external morphological characteristics of Distoechodon compressus in Liancheng were body length,lateral fat,abdomen round,no ventral edges. The head was small, the eye was big,the snout was obviously prominent. Two rows of mandibular teeth,lower mouth, transverse crack, the mandible had a well developed cuticle margin. The gill rakes were short and thin,closely arranged, gill rake number 90?113. Small scales,lateral line scales 71?86. The dorsal fin was strong and smooth. The gluteal fin had two unbranched fin rays. caudal fin deep fork shape,the tail handle was longer. Deep black back,silver abdomen, the front and back edge of the gill cover had 1 orange stripe,and the body side had more than 10 black spot stripes. The dorsal and caudal fins were gray and black, caudal fin edge was black, pectoral fin and pelvic fin were red orange or orange,the pterygiophore was orange and the edge was gray and white. The gluteal fin was pale yellow. The pterygiophore were yellow and white. 2) There were some differences between the main morphological characteristics and the literature records:1) The gluteal fins had two fin rays that did not branch; 2) Each fin rays were darker in colour,among them, the color of tail fin changed from red to black or yellow, the color of pectoral fin and pelvic fin turned yellow from red to orange, the gluteal fin changed from yellow to white; 3 ) The number of lateral scales exceeded the recorded range of 68 ~74, 67 ~72; 4) The number of gill rakes exceeded the records of 94~103,94~97 of the literature. The main reasons for the difference were:1) The geographical location difference of the sample fish;2 ) Environmental changes in water quality; 3 ) Genetic variation;4) Sample fish specification difference; 5) Lack of food; 6) Differences in color descriptions among authors of the literature.
    Test of seeding net refrigeration technology in the cultivation of Porphyra haitanensis

    Application of seeding net refrigeration is very useful to increase the production of laver and farmers' income in our province. In 2019, Quanzhou Fisheries technology station explored the application of seeding net refrigeration technology in the cultivation process of Porphyra haitanensis in natural sea area, and analyzed the quality of the products. The results showed that the yield of the first crop of Porphyra increased by 111.11% compared with autumn seedling net. Further quality analysis showed that the content of 16 kinds of amino acids in the first crop of laver applied seeding net refrigeration technology, was significantly higher than that of autumn seedling net, increased by 38.98%. The content of chlorophyll-a, phycobiliprotein and crude polysaccharide was slightly lower than that of autumn seedling net, but the difference was not obvious. The application of seeding net refregeration technology can not only increase the yield of the first crop of Porphyra haitanensis, but also the quality of Porphyra haitanensis does not decline significantly. Therefore, it can become as an important means to increase the yield and farmers’ income in Porphyra haitanensis cultivation.

    As a widely used brominated flame retardant,hexabromocyclododecane ( HBCD) has been used in various industries for a long period of time. The environmental pollution and human health problems caused by HBCD have significantly attracted international communities,attention. Monitoring and exposure risk assessment of HBCD in aquatic products has become a national and international research hotspot. This paper reviewed the determination methodologies,and pollution levels of HBCD in aquatic products. The pros and cons of each method were compared to provide accurate determination of HBCD in aquatic products. Further investigations on the sources,biomagnification and potential hazard to human health of HBCD in aquatic prod-ucts are necessary.
