Community characteristics of phytoplankton and relationships with environmental factors in southern part area of Minjiang Estuary in Fujian Province in summer
       2016, 38 (1): 56-66.
    Abstract130)      PDF (5200KB)(814)       Save
The present study reported on the community structure of phytoplankton and its relationship to the environment factors, based on phytoplankton water samples collected in southern part area of Minjiang Estuary from 2011 to 2014 in summer. A total of 193 species belonging to 51genera (4 phyla ) of phytoplankton in survey area were indentified. Diatom was the major phytoplankton group. The annual average cell abundance of the phytoplankton varied from 1.20×105 to 3.87×105 individual /dm3. Horizontal distribution of phytoplankton cell abundance showed a trend of decreasing gradually from inshore to offshore, inner to outer bay. But the horizontal distribution of phytoplankton biodiversity Shannon-Wiener diversity index was on the contrary of that of phytoplankton cell abundance. Statistical analysis showed that the variations of phytoplankton cell abundance were positive correlated obviously with the concentrations of silicate, phosphate, ammonia, nitrate and nitrogen. The phytoplankton growth was mainly limited by ammonia concentration, and Secondly by the nitrate concentration.

Embryonic and morphological development in larva, juvenile, and young stages of hybrid grouper (Epinephelus moara ♀×E. lanceolatus ♂)
       2016, 38 (1): 27-35.
    Abstract220)      PDF (8273KB)(570)       Save
Hybridization is the most widely used and effective method of artificial breeding in aquaculture. We documented embryonic development and the growth and morphological characteristics of larva, juveniles, and young fish in the hybrid (Epinephelus moara ♀× E. lanceolatus ♂) by artificial methods. The embryonic development of the hybrid was divided into cleavage stage, blastula stage, gastrula stage, neurula stage, and organogenesis stage. In sea water (22±1℃, salinity 33, pH7.8), 35 h 23 min was required for hybrid embryonic development. In cleavage stage, blastula stage, before and after the larvae, the hybrid had higher mortality. Statistics showed that hybrid hatching rate was 91.5% lower than control group (93.1%), deformity rate was 10.5% higher than control group (5.3%). Based on the features of the yolk sac, second dorsal fin spine, pelvic fin spine, scales and body color, the post-embryonic development of the hybrid was divided into larval (0~27 d), juvenile(28~45 d), and young fish stages(46 d). The results suggested that the hybrid grows more rapidly than E. moara.

Advances in the study of sulfur dioxide removing technics from aquatic products
       2016, 38 (5): 427-430.
    Abstract184)      PDF (645KB)(935)       Save
The extra additives of sulfur dioxide in aquatic products are very common and serious problems, which have caused Chinese aquatic product export to suffer from heavy loss in the recent years. The paper reviewed the hazards of excessive addition of sulphur dioxide, the origin of sulphur dioxide and the sulphur dioxide removal technics in aquatic products. In accordance with the base of former study and the result of the author's practices, the irradiation treatment to degrade the residue of sulfur dioxide in aquatic products was proved to possess broad application foreground.

A Meta-analysis:the effect of three kinds of Chinese herbal medicines for tilapia Streptococcus agalactiae
       2016, 38 (5): 409-414.
    Abstract179)      PDF (744KB)(759)       Save
Through searching literatures about the effect of Chinese herbal medicine to tilapia Streptococcus agalactiae from CNKI、VIP、DUXIU、WANFANG databases, the paper used RenMan 5.3 to conduct Meta analysis. The effect of Rheum, Rhus chinensis and Coptis chinensis three kinds of Chinese herbal medicines on tilapia Streptococcus agalactiae were statistical evaluated. The study would provide scientific references for screening Chinese herbal and formulating Chinese medicine compound to prevent and control tilapia Streptococcus agalactiae. Bring into two literatures for Meta analysis, the effect of three kinds of Chinese herbal was: Coptis chinensis> Rheum, Coptis chinensis>Rhus chinensi, Rhus chinensis> Rheum. Both differences were statistically significant, result was solid. The effect of three Chinese herbal for tilapia Streptococcus agalactiae was Coptis chinensis>Rhus chinensi> Rheum. The results need further validation in the process of cultivation.

Survey on status of fishery resources of Dongshan Bay in Fujian
       2016, 38 (2): 112-125.
    Abstract161)      PDF (6143KB)(927)       Save
Based on the fishery date of four oceanographic censuses in the Dongshan Bay from 2012 to 2013, the composition characteristics of fish eggs, larvae and juveniles, nekton were preliminarily analyzed. Results indicated that 15 species of fish eggs, 8 species of larvae and juveniles were identified, including 5 indeterminate species of larvae and juveniles. For fish eggs, larvae and juveniles, the average densities were 2.63 ind/ m3 and 0.50 ind/ m3. 269 nekton species were recorded, including 202 fishes, which was The largest populations in number. In seasonal distribution, nekton species was the most (161) in summer, while the least (62) in winter. From the plane distribution, the most species (95) was in No. Fifth stations and the least species (12) were in No. ninth stations in summer. For mean weight density of nekton, the greatest was 1 246.98 kg/km2 in winter and the minimal was 372.68 kg/km2 in spring. While for mean individual density of nekton, the highest was 36.04×103 ind/km2 and the lowest was 11.25×103 ind/km2. Dominant species of four seasons varied, which showed the obvious phenomenon. For nekton’s weight density, the order of diversity index was autumn > summer > spring > winter, species richness d, evenness index J' and pure index C were 3.49, 0.64 and 0.23. For nekton’s individual density, the order of diversity index was summer > spring > autumn > winter, species richness d, evenness index J' and pure index C were 7.09, 0.70 and 0.18, separately. Compared with the historical data, the mean densities of fish eggs, larvae and juveniles, nekton were higher, and the species and species diversity of nekton were rising in this investigation.
