Abstract: Fujian and Taiwan are close neighbors across the Taiwan Strait, and the fisheries exchange and cooperation has a long history between two provinces. Based on years of work experience of engaging in fisheries academic exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan, the author reviewed the main situation and achievement, and proposed several new measures such as strengthening fisheries academic exchanges platform building between Fujian and Taiwan, expanding platform’s exchange and cooperation functions, playing vital roles of professional committee and members, and enhancing fisheries academic information exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan. Therefore, the cross-strait fishery science and technology exchanges and cooperation could be promoted to a higher level.
