Abstract: This paper elaborates the significances of fishery development in South China Sea islands for sustainable utilization of fisheries and safeguard of Chinese maritime rights and interests in South China Sea. This paper also summarizes the exploitation state of fisheries in South China Sea, analyzes the factors affecting sustainable utilization, and proposes strategies and suggestions to solve the existing problems.
