Abstract
The data of two investigations were used in this paper, one of which was “the investigation of important fisheries resources in the main fisheries grounds of East China Sea from 2008 to 2009”, and another one was “The investigations of ecological capacity of fisheries resources and capture fishery management in Fujian marine region from 1998 to 1999”. This paper analyzed the biological characteristics, quantity distribution and change of Parapenaeus fissuroides Crosnier. The results showed that the resources of this shrimp in the Northeast Sea of Fujian were 6 673 t. The average body length of female shrimp was 71.0 mm, the average body weight was 6.2 g, and the average body length of male shrimp was 68.7 mm, the average body weight was 3.2 g from 1998 to 1999. While the average body length of female shrimp was 89.1 mm, the average body weight was 6.8 g, and the average body length of male shrimp was 83.0 mm, the average body weight was 5.0 g from 2008 to 2009. The average resource density index of Parapenaeus fissuroides Crosnier from 1998 to 1999 was 2.3 kg/h in the Northeast Sea of Fujian. The average resource density index of this kind shrimp from 2008 to 2009 was 1.6 kg/h. It indicated that the body length and weight were increased a little and the resource density was reduced a little. These showed that resource of Parapenaeus fissuroides Crosnier was steady and had utilization potentiality. However, it must be exploited rationally and managed in science in order sustainable to use the resource.
