Abstract
Acrossocheilus(Lissochilichthys) hemispinus is a common and important commercial fish. The embryonic and postembryonic developments of Acrossocheilus(Lissochilichthys) hemispinus were observed. The fertilized eggs were obtained by artificial induction of hormone injection in mature A. hemispinus and artificial dry-fertilization,and were hatched at temperature of 25~28℃.The larvae were fed at temperature of 26~28℃. The development time and morphological character of development stages were described in great detail from fertilized eggs to juvenile. The results showed that the adhesive egg were found to be glutinous, yellow or orange yellow,1.74~1.97 mm in diameter. The hatching time was 50 h 28 min,and the total body length of the newly hatched larvae ranged 5.6~7.2 mm at the temperature of 25~28℃. At the temperature of 26~28℃, the larvae was fed at 7 days old,and the yolk was exhausted at 9 days old. The larvae entered into juvenile stage at 15 days old.The scale covered the whole body of larvae at 25 days old, which meant the beginning of young fish stage. Seven black brown transversal stripes could be observed in larvae and juvenile stage, and then disappeared in adult fish.
