Primary report on Zhongkehong Argopecten irradias culture in sea area of Fuzhou

In order to explore the feasibility of Argopecten irradias culture in sea area of Fuzhou, we introduced 100×10⁴ Zhongkehong Argopecten irradias from Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Qingdao, Shandong Province for the first time and carried out trial culture in Lianjiang sea area in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It was demonstrated in the trial that Zhongkehong Argopecten irradias grew fast in trial sea area, their shell height monthly increased by an average of 1 cm during July to August due to warm water and the growth rate decreased since September as temperature declined. The result showed that the Zhongkehong Argopecten irradias could be adapted to the local sea area environment of Fuzhou.
