Abstract:
Concentration and distribution of heavy metals (Cu,Pb,Zn,Cr,As,Hg) in surface sediment of protected area in Guangdong Daya Bay Aquatic Resources Provincical Nature Reserve were studied according to the survey carried out by Xiamen University in 2020,and the trend of heavy metals changing in the surface sediments of the Daya Bay in the past 30 years was analyzed. The results showed that the spatial distribution of most heavy metals generally showed a decreasing trend from the north to the south, reflecting the influence of land source input.Over the past 30 years, the variation of average content of heavy metals in the sediments remained stable, indicating the accumulation of heavy metals in local areas.Suggestions were put forward in this study including strict control of sea reclamation, strengthening the pollutant collection and treatment, controlling the scale of aquaculture, advocating ecological aquaculture, strengthening publicity, and increasing government investment.
