Abstract: In recent years,large-scale jellyfish outbreaks have emerged successively in the Bohai Sea,northern East China Sea and southern Yellow Sea.The research that is aimed at the characteristics of jellyfish disasters,will be helpful for defensing and reducing jellyfish disasters.At present,the research on jellyfish disasters in China is still in the primary stage.Although the rapid detection technology of jellyfish disasters using molecular biology has been made advances,the monitoring and early warning technology for jellyfish disasters is not yet mature.Therefore,the formation mechanism and the drift paths of jellyfish disasters are the current problems that need to be solved urgently.
