Abstract: Getting food, functional protein and active materials from sea has been the crucial content of sea development conducted by sea-shored countries in the world.Laminaria japonica, which owns high medical and health-protection value, is a kind of edible and nutritious food featured by its typical high mineral material, mid-protein and low-calorie.This article aims to provide reference to the sustainable development of Laminaria japonica industry by explaining the main function of laminaria as well as its researching status of utilization processing and forecasting its developing direction.
