Abstract:
Many people died for eating nocuous
Nassarius or puffer fishes which contain neurotoxic tetrodotoxin in southeastern China. The detecting limits of immunochromatography test strip were about 0.5 MU/mL or 100 ng/mL, which were confirmed by tetrodotoxin standard solution experiment. On the basis of limited quantity of tetrodotoxin, sample pre-treatment method was designed for detecting 20 samples including both
Nassarius and puffer fishes. The precision rate of detecting assay reached 100% and single sample testing time was about 20 minutes. The results showed that the immunochromatography test strip had many characters of high sensitivity, good specificity, user-friendly control, reading results by the unaided eye, and etc. The testing strip can be applied to testing organization at grassroots level, fishery management grassroots units, and aquatic product process enterprise for tetrodotoxin screening in fishes and snails.
