Abstract:
Based on the bottom trawl and crab pot investigation in Luoyuan bay in July 2009, the characteristics of nekton composition were preliminarily analyzed. Results indicated that there were 96 species collected from the bottom trawl and crab pot surveying. The mean relative catch of bottom trawl was 5.43 kg/h. The Shannon diversity index
H', species richness
D and evenness index
J' were 1.793, 2.386 and 0.653 for nekton community, respectively. The dominant species were
Penaeus japonicus, Oxyurichthys microlepis, Charybdis japonica and
Muraenesox cinereus. The common species were
Triaenopogon barbatus, Trachypenaeus curvirostris, Prionobutis koilomatodon, Acentrogobius chlorosigmatoides and
Oratosquilla oratoria. Compared with historical data, nekton resources were obviously declining and the fishery resources were characterized by small-scale fishes of low values.
