Abstract: The yearly output of the mud crab in Fujian Province ranks second in China recently. Mud crab aquaculture has developed into one of the key fisheries in Fujian Province. The main objective of this article is to present the current developing status of mud crab aquaculture in Fujian Province, including growout, larval rearing, disease control, genetic breeding and so on. Furthermore, the main problems affecting crab fisheries are analyzed and the concrete suggestions are proposed.
