Abstract: The paper reported the outlook of fish breeding, the first part was about traditional breeding methods of selective breeding, domestication and cross-breeding, secondly, modern biotechnology in fish breeding was also described, it included polyploidy breeding, androgenesis, nuclear transfer, transgenic, molecular marker assisted breeding and genome breeding.
