Abstract: One Aeromonas hydrophila strain was isolated from the sick artificial breeding Anguilla anguilla from Fujian Zhaoan. The experiment result showed that the isolated could induce symptom of natural disease in Anguilla Anguilla. It had β-hemolytic, and could grow in the salt content at 4%. Gram stain were negative, short rod shape and movement characteristic. Biological characterization of the isolated was similar to that of A.hydrophila isolated from other aquatic anima1s. Analysis of 16S rRNA gene showed that the isolated shared more than 99.8% identity with A.Hydrophila. Based on morphological, biochemical and phylogenetic analysis, the isolated was identified as A.Hydrophila. The antibiotic sensitivity test showed that the isolated bacteria were hypersensitive to Cefotaxime Sodium, Florfenicol, Compound Sulfamethoxazole, Ofloxacin, Cefepime and Cefamandole.
