Abstract: This paper with a review of the position in the marine ecology and fishery of large yellow croaker，Larimichthys crocea（Richardson）in china , and the development progress, the achievements of technology research and the present problems in its aquaculture industry. Besides, the development goal and related countermeasure of its industry scale which the annual output value has exceeded 10 billion yuan are also put forward.
