Abstract:
To study the effect of morphological traits on body weight in the early stage, and to provide reference for the selection and breeding of fine varieties, the total length(
X1),body length(
X2),head length(
X3),trunk length(
X4),caudal stalk length(
X5),caudal stalk height(
X6),body height(
X7),body width(
X8) and body weight(
Y) were measured and analyzed by means of correlation analysis, regression analysis and path analysis.The results showed that the correlations between the 8 morphological traits and body weight reached a very significant level(
P<0.01).Path analysis showed that body length, body width, full length, head length and body height were the main morphological traits that affected body weight.The determination coefficient showed that the single determination coefficient of body length was the largest, which was 0.299,while the joint determination coefficient of body length and full length was the largest, which was 0.244,and the total determination coefficient was 0.923.The results showed that all the main morphological characters which had influence on the body weight of 6-month-old spotted head fish were included.The optimal regression equation was established as
Y=-8.900+0.467
X1+1.247
X2+0.274
X3+0.169
X7+1.866
X8.In the breeding process of 6-month-old spotted head fish, body length and body length should be considered as well as body weight.
