Abstract:
Using large yellow croaker(
Larimichthys crocea) as the experimental subject, this study adopted the traditional technology of "initial tying", "water feeding" and "water binding" to bend the large yellow croaker into a bow shape, and analyzed the effects of different fixed position, bundling direction, and "water feeding" process on the survival time and survival rate. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the "Bowing fish" technology on the living transportation of large yellow croaker. The results indicated that the survival time for large yellow croaker treated with "Bowing fish" technology under waterless conditions surpassed 2 h,which was four times longer than that without any treatment. The new penetrating method(fish mouth and lid) had a higher survival rate than the traditional penetrating method(nostril). The effective time of the "feeding water" process was 1 h.The different bundling direction was only a habitual for fishermen, and there was no significant effect on the survival time and survival rate. These findings indicated that the traditional "Bowing fish" method had a certain effect on the living transportation of large yellow croaker, but the specific details needed to be further optimized.
